DESIGN DEVELOPMENT & SPECIFICATION
What this is
The second stage takes your approved Room Design Direction and develops it into a detailed specification ready for implementation.
This is where the broader design decisions are translated into the individual products, materials, finishes and costs required to complete the room.
What you’ll receive
- Final furniture and furnishing selections
- Confirmed materials, finishes and colours
- Relevant dimensions and quantities
- Product sourcing and supplier information
- Current pricing and lead-time checks
- Appropriate alternatives where required during specification
- Budget allowances for elements that do not require individual sourcing
- A room specification and budget schedule
- Design-development discussions as the remaining details are resolved
- One final specification review
How it works
Once the Room Design Direction has been approved, I work through the scheme in detail, sourcing and confirming the individual elements required to bring it together.
We resolve the finer decisions as the specification develops, followed by a final review before the scheme is signed off.
What this stage doesn’t include
- Ordering or paying suppliers on your behalf
- Delivery coordination
- Trade management
- Installation supervision
- Additional redesign following approval
- Ongoing project support after specification
AFTER YOUR DESIGN
You can choose how much support you need.
You may take the completed design or specification forward independently, or I can continue to support you with ordering, supplier and trade liaison, site visits and implementation.
Implementation Support is charged at £75 per hour.
